Go! Airline In-Flight Video

April 1st, 2008 · News

Mahalo, Aloha Airlines. You stopped flying for various reasons. Bad management. Fuel costs. That slash and burn competitor Mesa Air.

How about that Mesa Air, Go! Airlines? They can fly at dirt cheap prices.

Sometimes their pilots are overworked and are investigated for sleeping on their flights.

Sometimes the planes are full of customers.

Sometimes they’re not so full.

Sometimes they’re empty enough that you can get your sex on while families with kids are flying. (Even if you’re not a five dollar footlong like the dude in the video.)

Is it:

Rude? Sure.

To some more so than others.

Newsworthy? Dubious.

On one hand the couple appears happily married. On the other hand there are young voices overheard on the audio. On yet another hand the guy who posted this video is German.

NSFW? Indeed.

Seriously, Yuvutu is 1000% not safe for work or prudes.

Chris Lee ACM Figurehead: Name Drops, Can’t Be Bothered to Read News About Bob Awana (OR NOT)

July 3rd, 2007 · News

Update: It’s been pointed out by a number of people that the original email was sent out prior to the breaking of the Bush-Lingle tied administration’s Bob Awana, he of underage prostitutes sex scandal incident. Unfortunately, The Stink doesn’t have the money backed, fact-checking resources of reliable orgs like Aussie owned F0X N3W5. Nor, can it afford editorial grammar police needed for sound paragraph construction, it seems. (Oh, and Michelle Malkin is a self-hating, race-baiting ho. Did we miss anything?)

And now an e-mail message from University of Hawaii Academy of Creative Media Figurehead Chris Lee:

From: Chris Lee
Subject: Hawaii Governer needs your help making right decision…

Dear Friend and Supporter of the ACM,

My apologies for the length of this letter — it may be the last one I get to write on behalf of the ACM.

The NFL Hates Hawaii, Maybe For One Year

December 6th, 2006 · News

ESPN’s PTI is reporting, incorrectly attributing a Star-Bulletin story to the ‘Tiser, that the NFL will use the option to play the Pro Bowl at a different location once during the term of the current contract that runs through 2009.

Of course, this is a negotiation play for a bigger piece of the contact pie. It’s all about money, because the game itself is meaningless tripe. You’ll see more competitive football during your kid’s pee-wee league scrimmage.

Figures quoted in the Bulletin story point toward $30 million in visitor spending (and $3 mil in tax revenue) against the $4 million the state pays the NFL for hosting rights. It’s a net loss for state coffers, but a bonanza for local businesses and make politicians who keep it around look good. The counterfeit apparel dealers don’t mind either.

Frank Supovitz, NFL senior vice president of events, blows a lot of smoke up local fans asses at the end of the piece when he discusses talks about having the Super Bowl in Hawaii. It’s only further evidence for the buttering up of Hawaii and a fatter hosting rights fee.
