Video Quality of LOST on iTunes Video Store

October 12th, 2005 · No Comments · News

LOST on iTunes Video StoreWe’re not calling this a review since we use both products, the iPod and iTunes Video Store, but the quality of the picture and audio for portable viewing is great.

Basically, those looking for a cheap and legal way to download television shows should check this out.

Here’s an uncompressed JPG of the video quality at 320 x 240:

See you on another iTunes Video Store episode of LOST, brother!

Doubled in size the iTunes Video of LOST retains the quality you’d expect from broadcast television. If you expect to go larger than 640 x 480 resolution you’ll start seeing artifacts and smudgy images.

Here’s the specs from iTunes for those so inclined:

We’ll personally vouch for it having purchased and watched some of Orientation. Two dollars is a pittance for fanatics of LOST considering the quality of the video.

Yes, there are other ways of getting tv episodes off the internet and we’ve talked about them before, but we’re about to encourage unlawful behavior about as much as we’d encourage tourists to drive to the north shore and start hollering, “I’m Hawaiian!”

Now if you excuse us we’ve got to hit the streets and beg for change so we can buy new iPods with video.
