Harold Perrineau’s thoughtful wife Brittany mulled over ways they could help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
“We thought about going to New Orleans to help, but it didn’t make sense when what they really need are skilled people.”
So while Perrineau was on set, his wife called the American Red Cross, Hawaii branch, for suggestions. “They wondered if the ‘Lost’ cast would sign some autographs and have their pictures taken with fans to raise money,” Perrineau said. “Boom! We both knew that was the answer.”
He spoke to each cast member asking if they would be available. “Every single person: ‘I’m there.’”
Lost Cast Red Cross Fund Raiser: Noon to 2 p.m. tomorrow (line begins forming at 11 a.m.) at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, near Tapa Bar. Money donations only at this event. First 1000 people will receive a cast photo.
