LOST’s Vincent Continues Cross-Gender Canine Tradition

August 31st, 2005 · No Comments · News

Madison plays Vincent on TV\'s LostLike Lassie before her, er him, Lost’s Vincent the Dog is played by a female.

Madison, a female, appeared in 16 of the show’s 24 first season episodes as Vincent, a male. Madison has her own entry on the Internet Movie Database, along with dogs that have portrayed Lassie, Benji and Toto.

Series co-creator David Lindelof said Vincent “will play a big part” in the series’ second season.

“She loves being the center of attention. She loves all the commotion,” [her owner] said. “What people see on television is one thing, but if the camera were to turn 180 degrees so people could see what was going on behind the camera, it’s really quite amazing. She loves being in the middle of that.”

Let’s hope Vincent isn’t one of the two regulars on this season’s hit list.
