Naveen Andrews, who plays Iraqi castaway Sayid on the popular ABC show “Lost,” feels a bond with the people of Iraq - even though he is British, and of Indian descent.
“I feel a sense of responsibility to the Iraqi community and to the Arab world,” Andrews told us at the DVD launch party for “Lost” in Hawaii. “I was concerned that the way Sayid was going to be perceived would not be negative or peripheral in any way. The audience is reaching out to the so-called enemy in a way that the government and the media won’t allow them to do.”
As for next season, co-creator Damon Lindelof assures fans they won’t have to wait long for answers.
“We explain a bit in one and two, but episode three will blow your minds.”
Blow are minds, more questions than answers, yada, yada, yada.
In other news someone close to The Stink just landed a role on Lost. Until such a time that he gets our boss a production gig on the show, or is brutally murdered then eaten by the monster (or Locke) he is dead to us.
