Joe Moore, Lawman

Imagine, if you will, what it takes put together a movie. Insuring success means everything must come together. Millions of little details are meticulously planned. Often it seems the people who make the movies forget the story is the thing.

Take Moonglow for instance, Joe Moore’s second film, which contributors to The Stink have never had the pleasure of watching. Though according to one independent film critic’s glowing review, Moonglow was filled with continuity errors and melodrama. Continuity errors not on the part of the film crew, but in the story itself.

After hearing that review we can only hope Moore’s latest venture “The Lawmen,” it a tight, action packed western romp. How else could he recoup what must have been at least a $1 million he dunked into his last movie?

It might be a winner though. Moore plays a well-liked small town deputy whose britches are busted when a new sheriff rides into town, increases prices at the saloon, paints the towns wagons a different color, and brings in his own piano player.

Okay, maybe not. We can dream though.

I stopped watching KHON when Kanoa Leahy was hired.
    He’s a big jerk and I can’t stand him.

What’s this about Kanoa? I thought this was about Moore.

Anyway, Joe’s always fancied himself a sort of disciple of John Wayne so the whole western thing shouldn’t surprise anyone. His old office had The Duke’s pictures up everywhere.

Maybe this is new film will be right up his alley. I remember watching Eastwood’s Unforgiven and thinking that he really nailed this film. It was the perfect antiwestern. I wish Moore the same sort of success. Although I am not a fan of his slow news read I do appreciate his creativity and zeal to express himself through indie productions.

And Kanoa always seemed to be an okay guy with me. Heard him sing karaoke a few times, he’s got quite a voice. Those ears need trimming though. Yow.

I’m sure there are plenty of old scripts floating around that he could use for “research.” Hey, it worked last time.

I’m sure he’s watching old episodes of Gunsmoke while others are writing his newscast.

I wonder how much of his own money he’ll spend. If we want more crap, he should have donated his money to that cop show Hawaii. They still haven’t done the Hawaiian superman episode.

It continues to amaze me that people still enjoy his antics. I’d watch Lyle Galdeira on a hypno diet any day over joe’s ramblings.

I wonder if he will give his same speech, if you dont like the movie…I’ll refund your ticket purchase.

Anyone know if we can get Moonglow on DVD or video?
