>Kumu Kahua Theatre auditions for the November production of “Half Dozen Long Stem,” a comedy by Lee Cataluna, 1-4 p.m. Sept. 11 and 6-9 p.m. Sept. 12. Roles include three local males (early 20s to early 40s), a local female (late teens to late 20s) and two local females (early 40s to early 60s). Auditions include cold readings from the script, some improvisation and simple movement work. 536-4222.

    When will people see that L.C. has no talent. Her insights into island culture are never on point and her attempts at pidgin are horrible. I think people admire her because they themselves are like her , i.e., elitist islanders with xenophobic attitudes to anything that is not “of Hawaii.” L.C. is not the same as J.C. I am tired of hearing her preach.
