>Joe Moore also did UH football on KGU radio in the ’70’s. I’m not sure if the story is true, but I seem to recall hearing that he broke his hand while broadcasting either the Grambling or Stanford game in 1972. UH lost badly to both scoring only once in each game. He got so excited that UH had finally scored in one game he hit the desk and broke his hand. I remember seeing his hand in a cast when he did the TV sports news.
